The grant that funds this scholarship seeks, among other goals, to improve diversity and inclusion in the Electrical, Computer, and Software Engineering (ECSE) programs at Iowa State and to improve educational pathways and contribute to a diverse ECSE workforce. Given this information, please discuss your connection or commitment to making STEM fields more diverse or inclusive.

I authorize Iowa State University to release my name for publication in the event that I am selected to receive a scholarship from the Scholarships & Awards Committee and/or for a departmental scholarship.
I authorize Iowa State University to release a copy of this form and information about my academic record to the committee designated to make the scholarship awards and to the scholarship donor in the event my application is successful.
Scholarship recipients will be required to participate in NSF-mandated scholarship-related data collection, involving both interview and survey activities about their experiences in ECSEL. Students will also be required to parciipate in ECSEL themed student experience which will focus on leadership and professional development. Applicants will be encouraged to join both the Program for Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) and Electrical and Computer Engineering Learning Communities and will have access to WiSE programs.
