Dr. Patrick Kain and Miss Maribel Kain Family Memorial Scholarship

• Recipients shall be majoring in Wildlife & Fisheries Conservation & Ecology or Forestry in the Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management, Microbiology in the Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology, or Biology *or *Genetics in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology.
• Recipients shall have an incoming minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.33 on a 4.0 scale.
• Recipients shall have demonstrated leadership as evidenced through volunteer efforts, participation in extracurricular or community organizations and activities.
• First preference shall be given to students who have verified financial need.
• Second preference shall be given to students who are* residents of the State of Iowa* as permitted by Federal and State law, and University policy.
• This award shall be made available to incoming freshman students.
• This scholarship may be renewed so long as recipients continue to meet stated criteria.
