Lasley Family Scholarship

1.Recipients shall be enrolled in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice pursuing a degree in rural sociology or closely related studies.
2.Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
3.Recipients shall have demonstrated community involvement as determined by the administering authority.
4.Preference shall be given in the following order as determined by the administering authority and as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy:
a. Students who demonstrate a record of volunteerism.
b. First-generation college students.
c. Students from a rural Iowa community with a population of 10,000 or less.
This award shall be made available to students of sophomore class standing and above, continuing through graduate class standing.
