Helen Jensen Howe Legacy of Heroines Scholarship in Science

1. Recipients shall be majoring in one of the science programs in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University, with a preference for students majoring in Physics as determined by the administering authority.
2. Recipients shall agree to participate in the mentoring and leadership activities offered through the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics and its Legacy of Heroines program as determined by the administering authority.
3. Preference shall be given to students with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
4. Preference shall also be given to students with demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate class standing.
