Dr. Robert R. Spencer Veterinary Medical Student Scholarship

1. Recipients shall be enrolled in the College of Veterinary Medicine.
2. Recipients shall be graduates of an Iowa high school, as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy.
3. Recipients shall be students focused on a career in small animal clinical medicine as determined by the administering authority.
4. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
5. Preference shall be given in the following order as determined by the administering authority and as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy:
a. Students who have graduated from a high school in Woodbury or Allamakee Counties in Iowa with first priority given to students from Woodbury County, Iowa.
b. Students that hold leadership positions in a recognized veterinary medicine or university organization.
c. Students who are working at least part-time while maintaining full-time student status.
This award shall be made available to students of VM3 or VM4 class standing.
