Heartland Animal Hospital Scholarship Presented by Nathan and Joanna Hein

1. Recipients shall be enrolled in the College of Veterinary Medicine.
2. Recipients shall be from one (1) of the following groups in order of preference, as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy:
a. Students who have graduated from a high school in Linn County, Iowa.
b. Students who have graduated from a high school in one of the following counties in eastern Iowa: Benton, Black Hawk, Buchanan, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Keokuk, Poweshiek, Tama or Washington.
c. Students who have graduated from a high school located to the east of Interstate 35 in Iowa.
d. Students who have graduated from an Iowa high school.
3. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
4. Preference shall be given in the following order as determined by the administering authority:
a. Students who plan to live and practice in Iowa following graduation.
b. Students who plan to enter small animal practice directly following graduation.
This award shall be made available to students of VM3 class standing.
