Betty Stephenson Professional Development Fund
Recipients shall be enrolled in the College of Human Sciences majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences Education and Studies. Recipients shall be attending a professional regional, state or national conference associated with the areas of Family and Consumer Sciences and/or Career and Technical Education, as determined by the administering authority. Such conferences include, but are not limited to, the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) and the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) conferences. Preference shall be given to students who are officers of student organizations who plan to return to Iowa State and strengthen the club or chapter, as determined by the administering authority. All awards shall be for one (1) professional development opportunity. This award shall be made available to full-time students of undergraduate class standing.
The Donor would like the award to be a minimum of $500 per student to help offset the costs of attending a conference.
