Sharon Kurns Educational Excellence Scholarship

Recipients shall be enrolled in the School of Education. Recipients shall be working toward obtaining their teaching certificates and becoming teachers. Recipients shall be residents of the State of Iowa as permitted by Federal and State law, and University policy. First preference shall be given to students who have demonstrated leadership through participation in campus organizations, extracurricular activities, professional organizations or community service. Second preference shall be given to students who are pursuing a reading endorsement. This award shall be made available to students who are in their third (3rd) year.
