Shirley J. Wood Scholarship for Working Students Seeking Teacher Licensure

1. Recipients shall be pursuing teacher licensure with preference given to students preparing to teach at the junior or senior high school level as determined by the
administering authority.
2. Recipients shall have verified financial need as documented by the University Office of Student Financial Aid.
3. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
4. Recipients shall have provided proof of being employed a minimum of 10 hours per week to help defray educational costs as determined by the administering authority.
This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate class standing.

Administration: The Donor would like these scholarships to be of significant benefit to the recipients and asks that one (1) scholarship be awarded each year until earnings grow sufficiently to make additional awards without diminishing the significance of the awards.
