Marilyn J. Wiley Scholarship for Underrepresented Minorities in Food Science and Human Nutrition
1. Recipients shall be majoring in dietetics or nutritional science in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition in the College of Human Sciences.
2. Recipients shall be taking a majority of in-person classes on campus, as determined by the administering authority.
3. Recipients shall have verified financial need, as documented by the University Office of Student Financial Aid.
4. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
5. Recipients shall have demonstrated experience in or commitment to working with historically underserved or underprivileged populations, as determined by the administering authority and as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy.
6. Recipients shall have a demonstrated sincere interest in and/or commitment to research or a career in nutrition education or school feeding programs, as determined by the administering authority.
This award shall be made available to students of junior or senior class standing.
