Dan and Jennie Thomas STEM Scholarship

1. Recipients shall be enrolled in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) program.
2. Recipients shall have verified financial need, as documented by the University Office of Student Financial Aid.
3. Recipients shall have a high potential for success as evidenced by a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
4. Preference shall be given to students from one (1) of the following groups as determined by the administering authority and as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy:
a. Students who are Iowa residents.
b. Students who have been involved in the foster care system.
c. Students from single parent families.
This award shall be made available to students of any class standing.
