Cushing Family Scholarship in Business

Recipients shall be enrolled in the Ivy College of Business majoring in Accounting or Actuarial Science. Preference shall be given as follows: incoming freshmen who are graduates of East Des Moines High School or North Des Moines High School; students of any class standing who are graduates of East Des Moines High School or North Des Moines High School majoring in Accounting or Actuarial Science; or students from any high school in Polk County, Iowa majoring in Accounting or Actuarial Science. Recipients shall have demonstrated financial need. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Recipients shall be of undergraduate class standing. This scholarship may be renewed so long as recipients continue to meet stated criteria.

While the Account will be endowed in the future with a deferred gift, the Donors have contributed $50,000 to the expendable portion of the account and would like $9,500 awarded each year for five (5) years. The funds should be divided into four (4) scholarships of $2,375 each as permitted by available funding.
