Seymore Family Scholarship
Accounting Scholarship
1. Recipients shall be majoring in accounting.
2. Recipients shall be students who through their experiences, activities, and academic work will contribute to student body diversity, as determined by the administering authority and as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy. Experiences may include, but are not limited to, participation in student organizations open to all such as Black Student Alliance, Latinx Student Initiatives, Al Exito Collegiate, professional organizations or community service.
3. Preference shall be given to students who are United States citizens or permanent residents, as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy.
This award shall be made available to students of junior or senior class standing.
Freshman Scholarship:
1. Recipients shall be enrolled in the Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business.
2. Recipients shall have a minimum high school grade point average of 3.0 of a 4.0 scale.
3. Recipients shall be first-generation college students and/or Pell grant eligible students.
4. Recipients shall be students who through their experiences, activities, and academic work will contribute to student body diversity, as determined by the administering authority and as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy. Experiences may include, but are not limited to, participation in student organizations open to all such as Black Student Alliance, Latinx Student Initiatives, Al Exito Collegiate, professional organizations or community service.
5. Preference shall be given to students whose hometown is in the State of Texas. If there are no eligible students from the State of Texas then a student from the State of Iowa may be selected, as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy.
This award shall be made available to students of freshman class standing.
Study Abroad Schoalarship:
1. Recipients shall be majoring in accounting.
2. Recipients shall be participating in a Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business study abroad program, as determined by the administering authority.
3. Recipients shall be students who through their experiences, activities, and academic work will contribute to student body diversity, as determined by the administering authority and as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy. Experiences may include, but are not limited to, participation in student organizations open to all such as Black Student Alliance, Latinx Student Initiatives, Al Exito Collegiate, professional organizations or community service.
