Colonel Rod and Sue Gerdes Marine Leadership Award

1. Recipients shall be Marine Corps option students participating in the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (“NROTC”) at Iowa State University.

2. Recipients shall display exemplary positive leadership traits, be morally grounded, show servant leadership and be humble individuals, as determined by the administering authority.

3. First preference shall be given to students who show potential and drive to continue their education but through unforeseen circumstances have not had their need fully met through financial aid and scholarships, as determined by the administering authority.

4. Second preference shall be given to top performing sophomores or juniors pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree, as determined by the administering authority.

This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate class standing.
