Fleming Award in Organ Study

Scholarship is available to undergraduate students with a declared major leading to a degree in music (including, without limitation, Bachelor of Music in Performance or Composition, Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Bachelor of Arts in Music), or a declared minor in music. Recipients must show prior academic achievement at the University (or at a secondary school, college or other university, for students either entering or transferring to the University) as demonstrated by a cumulative grade point average in the top half of the class. Recipients must show an aptitude for successful organ study, as demonstrated by a keyboard audition for prospective organ students or by a public recital for current organ students. Recipients must make a commitment to take applied organ lessons through the Department, and to participate in the weekly Organ Seminar and organ performance classes over the entire academic year in which the Award is granted.
