David and Julianne Svingen Scholarship

Recipients shall be enrolled in the Department of Geological and Atmospheric Sciences. Recipients shall have an interest in an environmental career as determined by the administering authority. Examples of environmental careers include environmental protection, soil, water and air pollution control and mitigation, climate change mitigation, environmental sustainability, and similar careers. First preference shall be given to students majoring in geology or earth science. Second preference shall be given to students majoring in meteorology. This award shall be made available to students of junior or senior class standing.
