Michael and Patricia Whiteford Scholarship

1. Recipients shall be enrolled in or accepted to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
2. Recipients shall have verified financial need, as documented by the University Office of Student Financial Aid.
3. Recipients shall be United States citizens or permanent residents, as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy.
4. Recipients shall be students who have made a commitment or demonstrated a commitment to enhance Hispanic culture/studies, as determined by the administering authority and permitted by Federal and State law and University policy.
5. Preference shall be given in the following order as determined by the administering authority and as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy:
a. Students shall be Iowa high school graduates.
b. Students who have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate class standing.
