Rob Stupka Memorial Scholarship for Undergraduate Research and Leadership

Scholarships are available to students of junior or senior class standing. The Undergraduate Research Scholarship recognizes student researchers who have been leaders for the Roy J. Carver Department of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology undergraduate club and the Stupka Undergraduate Research Symposium. Recipients shall be pursuing an undergraduate major in the Department of Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Recipients shall be conducting or have conducted high quality research, as evidenced by, but not limited to, progress towards one research publication, as determined by the administering authority. Recipients shall have demonstrated exemplary leadership skills for the success of the Stupka Undergraduate Research Symposium and the Roy J. Carver Department of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology undergraduate club as determined by the administering authority. Candidates must be nominated by their research mentor.
The Undergraduate Leadership Award recognizes students who have demonstrated sustained leadership for the success of the Stupka Undergraduate Research Symposium and the Roy J. Carver Department of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology undergraduate program. Recipients shall be pursuing an undergraduate major in the Department of Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Recipients shall have demonstrated exemplary leadership skills for the success of the Stupka Undergraduate Research Symposium and the Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology undergraduate program as determined by the administering authority. Candidates shall be nominated by the Stupka advisors. This award is non-renewable.
