The Gunny Scholarship

To be eligible, students shall be Marine Option Midshipmen who meet one or more of the following criteria, with preference given in the order listed.

1. College Program Midshipmen determined to have a high probability of receiving a 3 or 2-year Marine Option scholarship.
2. Fifth-year seniors who are not receiving financial benefits.
3. Scholarship Midshipmen under contract obligation with demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
4. Any undergraduate scholarship Midshipmen under contract obligation.

Additionally, the following may be taken into consideration when selecting recipients:

1. Son or daughter of a Marine KIA/WIA
2. Son or daughter of a Marine
3. Prior-enlisted Marine

This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate class standing including fifth-year seniors.
