George Freeman Award

Recipients shall be an ISU junior, senior or graduate student with a major or minor within any discipline of sociology(C J, SOC, SOCA, R SOC and AGRPS), have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and who have completed 12 credit hours in sociology. Must have shown actual or potential leadership ability by participation in scholarly or extra-curricular activities; must have demonstrated through personal actions a desire to facilitate the integration of students of color and/or international students into the department, university, and/or community; and must not have been a previous recipient of the award.
