G. Truman and Karleen R. Draper Scholarship in the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication
The G. Truman and Karleen R. Draper Scholarship is a transformative award that will offset in-state tuition, room and board costs. This scholarship is awarded to a sophomore student and renewable for up to two additional years as long as the recipient continues to meet the criteria set forth for the award. Students should apply if they are enrolled in the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication, are Iowa residents, will be of sophomore, junior or senior class standing for the application year (next academic year), and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Preference shall be given to students with verified financial need. Interested students should apply by answering the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences application questions for the Greenlee School and the additional question for this opportunity. You must reapply each year.

In order to be considered for this award, please submit a letter that could be sent to the Draper family explaining how this scholarship would transform your college experience and influence your contribution to society. The letter should be 500-750 words in length.
