Kim Bailey Memorial Scholarship

1. The recipient shall be a student from a high school in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
2. The recipient shall be an incoming, direct from high school, freshman student.
3. The recipient shall have a minimum cumulative high school grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale.
4. Preference shall be given in the following order:

a) Students with verified financial need, as determined by the University Office of Student Financial Aid.
b) Students who demonstrate exemplary leadership skills as determined by the administering authority and as evidenced by their active participation in extracurricular activities which involves directing actions, holding office, chairing committees, and/or receipt of awards. Examples of extracurricular activities include involvement in recognized student organizations, professional organizations, or community service.

This award shall be made available to students of incoming freshman class standing.

Administration: The Donor would like the Distributions to be divided equally between two (2) recipients each year initially. The number of awards may increase in future years as earnings increase sufficiently to not diminish the significance of the scholarships.
