1. Recipients shall be active in, affiliated with, have supported, or have benefitted from participating in the LGBTQIA+ community, as determined by the administering authority.
2. Recipients shall have demonstrated leadership and active engagement in any recognized student organization as determined by the administering authority.
3. Recipients shall answer a scholarship application question explaining how they, as an LGBTQIA+ student or LGBTQIA+ supporter, advocate and promote inclusive communities at Iowa State University as determined by the administering authority.
This award shall be made available to students of any class standing.

  1. The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs administers scholarships that recognize student contributions to LGBTQIA+ leadership, initiatives, and more. Information from the general application as well as the questions below will be used in the selection process.

  6. Short Essay

    The scholarship selection committee will evaluate your answers based on the criteria outlined in each of your answers. All answers to the following essay questions should be between 100-5-- words. Strong answers will provide specific details regarding involvements, goals, and personal experiences.

  8. By accepting this scholarship, I hereby give Iowa State University permission to include my name on the list of recipients and release it to the public as required under the terms of the scholarship. (Note: This list may include scholarship selection criteria, major, and hometown.)
