Steve, Janet and Martin Healy Family Scholarship Fund

1. Recipients shall be graduates of Cascade High School, also known as Cascade Jr/Sr High School of Western Dubuque School District and as Cascade Junior/Senior High School. If there are no eligible graduates of Cascade High School, Cascade High School no longer exists, or the school name changes again, the recipients shall be residents of Cascade, Iowa.
2. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
3. Recipients shall alternate between male and female as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy.
4. Preference shall be given to students with verified financial need, as documented by the University Office of Student Financial Aid.
This award shall be made available to students of incoming freshman class standing.

Administration: If in any year there are no qualified students to be able to alternate the gender, the scholarship may be awarded to a qualified applicant of the same gender as the previous year. If in any year there are no qualified applicants, funds will be held for future awards and will be awarded to two recipients the following year. If there aren’t two qualified recipients the next year, the second scholarship may be awarded to a prior recipient. Recipients shall provide a thank-you letter to be shared with the Donors.
