President's Leadership Initiative Awards

The President’s Leadership Awards recognize students who have provided exemplary leadership throughout their time at Iowa State University. Students must submit a leadership resume and essay highlighting their accomplishments, and two letters of recommendation. Applicants will be considered for the following awards:

Charles F. Frederiksen Leadership Award
David J. Henry All-University Leadership & Academic Excellence Award
Ellen Sorge Parks & W. Robert Parks Scholarship
David W. & Ellen J. Raisbeck President’s Leadership Initiative Award
Gib & Nancy Stanek President’s Leadership Initiative Award
Carnot H. Thomas & Lillian M. Thomas Presidential Leadership Award

Supplemental Questions
  1. Submit a leadership resume highlighting your experiences while at ISU. Provide dates of involvement, titles, activities, and accomplishments.
  2. Submit an essay based on leadership experience gained during your time at Iowa State University, either on campus or in the community, with an emphasis on how these experiences have helped define your leadership style.
  3. Provide the names and emails of two references who can attest to your leadership skills and experiences, and will submit letters of recommendation.
