John and Carrie Sandgren Scholarship Fund

1. Recipients shall be students in a hospitality major, pre-medical or pre-health students, or students interested in moving on to a professional medical or health program, as determined by the administering authority.
2. Recipients shall have a high level of verified financial need, as documented by the University Office of Student Financial Aid.
3. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Students that do not meet this minimum may be considered if they are showing promise to improve as determined by the administering authority.
4. Preference shall be given in the following order as determined by the administering authority and as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy:
a) Minnesota residents.
b) Students who through their experiences, activities, and academic work will contribute to student body diversity.
This award shall be made available to students of junior or senior class standing.
