Bright Scholars of Iowa Persistence Award- Renewal

Scholarship for students who met all of the criteria to be a Bright Scholar but was not selected as an incoming freshman. The receipients shall have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Preference given to students whose parents have not graduated from an accredited four-year institution.

Amount of scholarship is equal to the second year cost of attendance, less other gift aid. Award is renewable for two addtiional years, provided the students maintains a 2.5 cumulative GPA. As part of the application, the students must have submitted an essay and applied for the Bright Scholars award as an incoming freshman.
