Loran R. and Betty A. Simpson Memorial Scholarship

Recipients shall be majoring in either mechanical engineering or electrical engineering in the College of Engineering. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Recipients shall be citizens of the United States as permitted by Federal and State law, and University policy. Recipients shall have graduated from a high school located in the State of Iowa as permitted by Federal and State law, and University policy. Preference shall be given to students who are married as determined by the administering authority. All awards shall be for one (1) year and may be renewed for up to two (2) additional years at the discretion of the administering authority so long as recipients continue to meet the above stated criteria. This award shall be made available to students of sophomore, junior and senior class standing.
