Karen L. Allen Endowed Scholarship Fund

1. Recipients shall be enrolled in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering.
2. Recipients shall demonstrate academic excellence as evidenced by either a minimum cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or a minimum cumulative college grade point average of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
3. Recipients shall be United States citizens as permitted by Federal and Sate law and University policy.
4. Recipients shall demonstrate exemplary leadership skills as determined by the administering authority and as evidenced by their active participation in extracurricular activities which involves directing actions, holding office, chairing committees, and/or receipt of awards. Examples of extracurricular activities include involvement in recognized student organizations, professional organizations, or community service.
5. Preference shall be given in the following order as determined by the administering authority and as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy: a) Pell Grant eligible students.
b) Students who through their experiences, activities, and academic work will contribute to student body diversity.
This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate class standing.
