John R. Wright Civil Engineering Endowed Scholarship

Recipients shall be enrolled in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering majoring in civil engineering. Recipients shall demonstrate financial need. First preference shall be given to female students. Second preference shall be given to students who will contribute to student body diversity. In evaluating student body diversity, preference will be given to students who are underrepresented in the University or in the applicable major or program at the time of the award. Third preference shall be for students who are residents of the following counties in Iowa: Polk, Iowa, Jasper, Johnson, Muscatine, Cedar, Scott, Louisa, Des Moines, Lee, Henry, Van Buren, Washington, Keokuk, Mahaska, Marion, Warren, Clarke, Decatur, Wayne, Lucas, Appanoose, Davis, Monroe, Wappelo, or Jefferson. Recipients shall be of undergraduate class standing. All awards shall be for one (1) year and may be renewed at the discretion of the administering authority so long as recipients continue to meet the above stated criteria.
