Ronald and Elizabeth Leonard Leadership in Creativity and Innovation Scholarship

The recipient shall be enrolled in the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering majoring in Agricultural Engineering with an emphasis in Power and Machinery. This award shall be made available to students of junior or senior class standing. The recipient shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. The recipient shall demonstrate creativity and innovative use of technology for the solution of problems as determined by the administering authority. Preference shall be given to students with demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid. All awards shall be for one (1) year but may be renewed for one (1) additional year at the discretion of the administering authority so long as recipients continue to meet the above stated criteria. The Donors prefer to have one (1) significant scholarship awarded annually to the neediest and most deserving agricultural engineering student. If the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering’s scholarship committee feels very strongly that there are two students of equal merit in an exceptional year that is okay, but the scholarship committee should respect the intention of the Donors to fund one annual award.
