O. Robert Eddy Scholarship for Excellence

Recipients shall be selected on a basis of academic excellence, outstanding extracurricular achievement, and professional potential. The awards shall be open to both in-state and out-of-ostate incoming freshman students, regardless of their academic majors. To be eligible for consideration, and applicant/nominee must: a. Be the No. 1- or 2-ranked student or rank in the top 5 percent of his or her high school class at the end of six, seven or eight semesters of high school work. b. Have established a record of outstanding achievement, as well, in extracurricular activities or some other personal activity outside the classroom. c. Show promise of having the ability and inclination to make a significant contribution to society. 7) The award shall be renewable for four years, providing the recipient maintains a 3.0 grade-point average while maintaining his or her academic status as a full-time students at Iowa State.
