The Robert Alan and Lori Ann (Lundquist ) Pollet Scholarship in Engineering

Recipients shall be enrolled in the College of Engineering. Recipients shall have demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid. First preference shall be given to students who have expressed an interest in pursuing a career in sustainable engineering as determined by the administering authority. Sustainable engineering involves designing or operating systems such that they use energy and resources sustainably, i.e., at a rate that does not compromise the natural environment, or the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Examples would be renewable energy, energy conservation, and developing alternatives to using fossil fuels. Second preference shall be given to students majoring in chemical engineering. This award shall be made available to students of freshman and sophomore class standing.
