Howard H. Lyon Engineering Scholarship

The recipient shall be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. The recipient shall demonstrate a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The recipient shall be an Iowa resident. Preference shall be given to applicants from a family farm as determined by the award authority. Preference shall be given to students who work to supplement their education as determined by the awarding authority – OR – as evidenced by income reported on the FAFSA. All scholarships awarded hereunder shall be for one year, but may be renewed at the discretion of the Dean of the College of Engineering, provided the recipient continues to meet the stated criteria stated above. This scholarship shall be made available to students with at least a sophomore class standing.
