Larry J. McComber Engineering Scholarship - Incoming Freshmen

Recipients shall be enrolled in the College of Engineering. Recipients shall be citizens of the United States as permitted by Federal and State law, and University policy. Recipients shall have demonstrated outstanding scholastic achievement as demonstrated with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Recipients shall have demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid. Preference shall be given to students with demonstrated leadership skills evidenced by active participation in community service organizations and extracurricular activities or prior or current service in the U.S. military, as determined by the administering authority. Examples of extracurricular activities include involvement in recognized student organizations, professional organizations or community service. This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate class standing including incoming freshman students. This scholarship may be renewed so long as recipients continue to meet stated criteria.
