Paul Troupe Scholarship in Aerospace Engineering

Recipients shall be enrolled in the Department of Aerospace Engineering in the College of Engineering. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Recipients shall have demonstrated leadership and commitment to the continuing betterment of their particular organizations as evidenced by participation in extracurricular or community organizations and activities as determined by the administering authority. Examples of extracurricular activities include involvement in recognized student organizations, professional organizations, or community service. Preference shall be given to recipients who have a demonstrated commitment to serving the community, university and department by fostering a positive experience such as, but not limited to, mentoring younger students, serving as an ambassador for international students and participating in STEM outreach programs as determined by the administering authority. All awards shall be for one (1) year and may be renewed for up to one (1) additional year at the discretion of the administering authority so long as recipients continue to meet the above stated criteria. This award shall be made available to students of junior or senior class standing.

The Donor would like these scholarships to be of significant benefit to the recipients and asks that initially one scholarship be awarded each year until earnings grow sufficiently to make additional awards without diminishing the significance of the awards.
