Laura and David Ulz Engineering Scholarship - Incoming Students

Recipients shall be enrolled in the College of Engineering. Recipients shall be citizens of the United States as permitted by Federal and State law, and University policy. Recipients shall be residents of the State of Iowa as permitted by Federal and State law, and University policy. Recipients shall have demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid. Freshman recipients shall have a minimum ACT composite score of 27 and transfer students shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale in their core subjects as determined by the administering authority. Preference shall be given to students with demonstrated leadership as evidenced by voluntary participation in extracurricular or community organizations and activities as determined by the administering authority. All awards shall be for one (1) year and shall be renewed at the discretion of the administering authority so long as recipients demonstrate adequate degree progress and: Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Continue to be enrolled in the College of Engineering. This award shall be made available to incoming freshman and transfer students.
