Buhr Family Scholarship in Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering

1. Recipients shall be full-time students enrolled in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering.
2. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Preference shall be given to students with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
3. Recipients shall be students from the Midwest, with Midwest defined as students from Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin.
4. Preference shall be given in the following order as determined by the administering authority and as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy.
a. Students with an interest in civil engineering with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering.
b. Students who are active members of the ISU student chapter of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
c. Students who are United States citizens or permanent residents.
d. Students with verified financial need, as documented by the University Office of Student Financial Aid.
This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate or graduate class standing with preference for students of sophomore, junior, or senior class standing.
