Eldred and Donna Harman Professorship for Excellence in Teaching and Learning

Criteria:
A. The Animal Science department will designate a tenured faculty member who shall serve as the Teaching Section Leader and has been identified as the holder of the Eldred and Donna Harman Professorship for Excellence in Teaching and Learning position.
B. Distributions may not be used for part of the base salary or for salary supplementation.
C. Distributions may be used at the discretion of the designated Teaching Section Leader to support creative and innovative teaching methodology programs that will enrich the educational and experience for students in the department of Animal Science, helping them to become more successful.
D. The funds may be used to support undergraduate students and teaching assistants, including, but not limited to, scholarships, travel funds and internship funds, and other purposes as may be reasonably related to the purpose of the Account, as determined by the holder of the professorship.
E. The qualifications, selection, award and review of the professorship shall at all times follow the procedures outlined in the Iowa State University Policy for endowed Chairs and Professorships as established in April 2002 and as amended from time to time.
