Harold R. Crawford Student Support Fund in Agriculture
The Harold R. Crawford Student Support Fund in Agriculture was established to honor Dr. Harold Crawford, a past Associate Dean in the College of Agriculture at Iowa State. Successful Iowa State alumnus, Murray R. Wise established the award as a tribute to Crawford’s efforts admit him as a student and for years of advice and mentorship that was instrumental in him completing his degree. According to Wise, “Everything I am and have is because of Iowa State. If Dr. Crawford had not given me that opportunity, I would be in Canada farming or broke. That is why I want to support students. It is the least I can do to re-pay the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Dr. Crawford for what he and Iowa State have given me.”
Through this scholarship, Mr. Wise wishes to support students with experiences and interests like him.
