Mary B. and William H. Gilbert Brown Swiss Memorial Scholarship

Recipients shall be members of the Dairy Science Club. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale. As part of their application, recipients shall submit a one-page written report that outlines the specific merits of Brown Swiss dairy cattle to the Chair of the Department of Animal Science. This report should include any personal applicable experience with the breed such as ownership, employment, or judging activities. Preference shall be given to students who display leadership and/or participation in school and community activities as evidenced by such things as active participation/leadership role in a recognized student organization, active participation/leadership role in a professional organization, honors and awards received, and/or active participation /leadership role in community service. This scholarship shall be made available to students with sophomore and above class standing.
