Dwight and Marilyn Conover Study Abroad Scholarship
Recipients shall be enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Recipients shall be participating in a study abroad experience. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Recipients shall be residents of the State of Iowa as permitted by Federal and State law, and University policy with preference given to students who reside in the western half of the State defined as west of Interstate 35. Recipients shall have demonstrated leadership as evidenced by participation in extracurricular or community organizations and activities. Examples of extracurricular activities include involvement in recognized student organizations, professional organizations, or community service. Through the application process recipients shall indicate how receipt of this scholarship will help them achieve success in their academic career. Preference shall be given to students majoring in agricultural business. This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate class standing. This scholarship may be renewed.
The Donors would like these scholarships to be awarded in the amount of at least $500 each so long as there are sufficient funds available.
