Marvin R. Springer Endowment for Community and Regional Planning
This scholarship is awarded to incoming first year students in the Community & Regional Planning Undergraduate Program. This scholarship may be renewed.
The awards shall be made to financially deserving students who best combine evidence of high scholarship and potential for leadership in their chosen fields. Decisions will be made upon review of applications which include the following information provided by the applicant:
a) High school transcript, grade point average, and class ranking.
b) ACT or other nationally recognized test scores.
c) Record of extracurricular and other enrichment activities.
d) Letter of reference from
(1) a high school classroom teacher
(2) an extracurricular activity supervisor or employer
(3) a classmate or other peer of the applicant.
e) A written statement (of approximately 300 words) about interests and abilities that suit the applicant for a successful career in his/her chosen field.
