Frank and Beatrice Nizzi Scholarship in Agriculture and Life Sciences

1. Recipients shall be full-time students enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and awards shall alternate between agriculture majors and life science majors in years the award is not renewed to a previous recipient.
a. Agriculture-related majors shall include: agricultural and life sciences education, agriculture and rural policy studies, agricultural business, agricultural communication, agricultural studies, agricultural systems technology, agronomy, animal science, forestry, dairy science, food science, global resource systems, horticulture, and industrial technology.
b. Life sciences majors shall include: animal ecology, biochemistry, biology, culinary food science, diet and exercise, dietetics, environmental science, genetics, microbiology, nursing, and nutritional science.
2. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
3. Recipients shall have verified financial need, as documented by the University Office of Student Financial Aid.
4. Recipients shall be residents of the State of Iowa, as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy.
5. Recipients shall be United States citizens or permanent residents, as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy.

This award shall be made available to students of junior or senior class standing.

Administration: Each scholarship shall be no more than 50% of tuition. The Donors would like there to be one (1) junior and one (1) senior recipient each year so long as there is available funding and for awards to alternate between agricultural and life
science majors when possible.
