Marrs Family Scholarship in Business

Recipients shall be majoring in either finance or accounting in the Ivy College of Business. Recipients shall have demonstrated financial need. Recipients shall be members of either Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity or members of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. Recipients shall have demonstrated leadership as evidenced by participation in extracurricular or community organizations and activities. Examples of extracurricular activities include involvement in recognized student organizations, professional organizations, or community service. This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate class standing. This scholarship may be renewed for one (1) additional year so long as recipients continue to meet stated criteria.

The Donor requests that each year one (1) scholarship be awarded to a student who is a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and one (1) scholarship be awarded to a student who is a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. If there are two (2) eligible applicants who are members of the same fraternity or sorority and no qualified applicants in the other fraternity or sorority, it is appropriate to award the two (2) scholarships to students who are both members of the same fraternity or sorority. The Donor requests scholarships be awarded in the following amounts:

a. Two (2) scholarships in the amount of $1,250 for the 2016-2017 academic year so long as funding is available.
b. Two (2) scholarships in the amount of $1,500 for the 2017-2018 academic year so long as funding is available.
c. Two (2) scholarships in the amount of $2,000 for the 2018-2019 academic year so long as funding is available.
