Larry D. Lursen Memorial Scholarship

The Larry D. Lursen Memorial Scholarship has been established in his honor. Mr. Lursen was a 1970 Animal Science graduate of Iowa State University. Recipient(s) of this scholarship shall be enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Recipients shall be residents for Butler County, Iowa. In the event there are no candidates who are residents of Butler County, recipients may be identified from the surrounding counties of Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Chickasaw, Bremer, Black Hawk, Grundy, Hardin or Franklin.

Preference shall be given to students who plan to return to work or farm in Butler County after graduation as determined by the administrating authority. All awards shall be for one (1) year and may be renewed at the discretion of the administrating authority so long as the recipients continue to meet the stated criteria. Recipients of this scholarship must be undergraduates.
