Raymond R. Beneke First-Year Scholarship in Agricultural Business

1. Recipients shall be students majoring in agricultural business.
2. Recipients shall demonstrate academic progress and initiative, as determined by the administering authority.
3. One (1) recipient shall be a first-generation student who is fluent in more than one language, including Spanish. This recipient shall be from one (1) of the following communities in Iowa: Denison, Storm Lake, Marshalltown, Perry, Sioux City, Muscatine, Ottumwa, Estherville, or Sioux Center. In addition to the normal publicizing of this scholarship, Iowa State University will make extra efforts annually to publicize this scholarship to high schools in these communities. If there are no eligible recipients from the above listed communities, the scholarship shall be open to Iowa residents.
4. Recipients shall be students with more than one (1) sibling, as determined by the administering authority.
5. Recipients shall answer the general application question, “Explain how your experiences and activities have helped you contribute to your school’s student body diversity.”
This award shall be made available to students of first-year class standing.
