Lee H. Kilmer and Lucille P. Kilmer Agriculture Travel Scholarship in Dairy Science

Recipients shall be majoring in dairy science in the Department of Animal Science. Recipients shall be participating in an agriculture travel course or study abroad experience (other than an international internship) with a dairy component. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Recipients shall be students who have never traveled outside of the United States, Canada or Mexico. This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate class standing at Iowa State University at the time of application.

Administration: It is the Donors’ request that scholarship applications be submitted to the undergraduate teaching coordinator or, lacking thereof, an individual (appointed by the Department Chair) who is familiar with the majority of the undergraduate students majoring in dairy science. Scholarship awards will be at the discretion of the undergraduate teaching coordinator (with oversight by the Chair of the Department). The number and amount of scholarships will be determined by the availability of funds. If, in the future, there no longer is a dairy science major at Iowa State University, students majoring in animal science with a demonstrated interest in dairy production may be selected.
