Allen E. Christian Swine Industry Scholarship

Recipients shall be enrolled full-time in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Recipients shall have experience in the livestock industry, preferably with swine. This experience may include, but is not limited to 4-H, FFA, Judging Teams, ISU Swine Teaching or Research Farms or other practical experience, such as livestock production farming. As part of the application process, applicants shall provide a written paragraph detailing their livestock industry experience, especially with swine. They shall also include a statement of their career goals and plans relating to the swine industry. Preference shall be for students with demonstrated career interests in the swine industry. This award shall be made available to students with sophomore or higher class standing at the time the funds are distributed to the recipients. This scholarship may be renewed for an additional two (2) years so long as recipients continue to meet stated criteria.

Where multiple candidates meet the above criteria, it is the Donor’s wish that at least two (2) recipients be selected annually.
