Donald and Janet Payer Award in Criminal Justice

Scholarship is available to students majoring in criminal justice studies in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice who are residents of the state of Iowa. Recipients shall be in the phase of their education of completing an internship in the area of community-based corrections and youth programs. Preference shall be given to students who are completing their internships in Story County or other counties in Iowa. Examples of locations in Story County, Iowa may include but are not limited to: The Mathew 25 House, Boys and Girls Club, Story County Jail and the Curt Forbes Center. This award shall be made available to students with more than 60 credits and who do not plan to attend law school.
